Asperger's Syndrome

Our programs will help individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome improve their social skills including confidence, flexible thinking, ability to manage their emotions and communication skills.  They will also learn the ability to pick up social cues so they can adapt in complex settings.

We provide all our clients with non-judgemental and professional support to ensure the best outcomes.  We encourage our clients to become active thinkers and have the ability to solve problems so when they come across a difficult situation and/or person they will have the capacity to make the right decisions for their wellbeing.

We also provide FaHCSIA funded counselling sessions to help the carers/parents improve the relationship they have with the individual they are caring for including how to communicate with them better.

Our programs includes the Relationship Development, Behavioural Interventions & the PEERS Program.  Parents are involved in all our programs so they can provide ongoing support through their child's social development.

Objectives for each program includes:

  • To learn how to make new friends and keep them
  • To learn how to find suitable friends
  • To help parents foster their child's independence with his or her social relationships
  • To understand emotions, feelings, gestures, reactions and expressions
